A Dó (ah doe) is Irish for two.

Katie Baughman & John Maschinot have combined talents in a compelling performance of Irish dance music & song.

A Dó features a variety of instrumentation in performance:

Multi-talented Katie Baughman is an accomplished vocalist, fiddler & champion step-dancer. Katie sings beautiful ballads, lighthearted love songs and the occasional song in Irish and Scottish Gaelic.

John Maschinot plays the uilleann pipes, Irish wooden flute, tin whistle, bodhran (drum) & harmonium, and has been known to tell a joke or two.

Katie & John have been performing Irish music and dance together since 1994.

Some of the many venues they've played include Spivey Hall, Georgia State University, the University of Georgia, Eddies Attic in Decatur, GA, Atlanta Celtic Christmas at Emory University, Atlanta Botanical Gardens and countless festivals and elementary and middle schools throughout Georgia.

A Dó performs at a variety of venues: concerts, festivals, colleges, private functions and schools.

A Dó is a sponsored project of the New York Foundation for the Arts.

Testimonials:

“We recently experienced the enchanting music of Ado Celtic Music, a great duo, John and Katie, who play and dance like Irish angels! We had a very diverse group of people for our Fall Festival and John and Katie kept them not only entertained, but totally engaged in the performance. Their musicianship is wonderful and their sunny personalities a delight. We'll certainly be asking them back for next year's festival!”

“Thank you for visiting the Decatur County-Gilbert H. Gragg Library on Saturday to perform your wonderful blend of Irish music and dance with Katie. Our audience thoroughly enjoyed it, and several people asked us if we could have you back in the future!”
